- Locate the shut-off valve inside your house.
- Turn the valve clockwise to close it, or, if it’s a lever, turn it perpendicular to the pipe.

- If your shut-off valve has a bleeder valve, open it slowly to release any trapped air.
- Note: A small amount of water may drain from the bleeder valve; this is normal.
- Close the bleeder valve once the air is released.
